Her Background
Jacquelyn Gilmore is a rising voice in dark fantasy and science fiction romance, celebrated for her immersive worlds, morally complex characters, and unapologetic love of villains. With over a decade of professional writing experience and a bachelor’s degree in English literature, Gilmore crafts stories that lure readers into terrifyingly beautiful realms where antiheroes thrive and every choice carries a cost.
Her debut novel, The Elf Witch, has been praised as “captivating” and a “must-read” for fans of dark fantasy, blending betrayal, romance, and dangerous magic. The highly anticipated sequel, The Serpent Prince, releases October 28, 2025, followed by Dream in the Ash (March 10, 2026), the first in a new dystopian dark fantasy series that explores the collision of magic and technology.
When she isn’t writing, Gilmore lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, constantly dreaming up new terrifying worlds and the villains who rule them.
